How to say "want to do" with たい.

To say "want to do", use the ます-stem + たい. 書きます → 書きたい (want to write). 食べます → 食べたい (want to eat). Negative: たくない / たくありません. Past: たかった. ～たい conjugates like an い-adjective (たくなかった, たければ).
Rules
- Godan: い-row stem + たい (書く → 書きたい, 飲む → 飲みたい).
- Ichidan: stem + たい (食べる → 食べたい).
- する: したい. 来る: 来たい (きたい).
- Use が or を before the object: 水が飲みたい / 水を飲みたい.
