How to form it
にしても attaches to the plain form. Nouns and な-adjectives drop だ in the present.
| Attaches to | Form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Verb | plain form + にしても | 行くにしても / 行かないにしても / 行ったにしても |
| い-adj | plain form + にしても | 高いにしても / 高かったにしても |
| な-adj | stem + にしても (no だ) | 大変にしても / 大変だったにしても |
| Noun | noun + にしても (no だ) | 冗談にしても / 冗談だったにしても |
Register: used in both speech and writing. The sentence ending decides politeness, not にしても.
