How to form it
Put the verb in the て-form, then add いないです (polite, soft), いません (polite, stiffer) or いない (casual):
| Verb group | Dictionary form | Polite (soft) | Polite (stiffer) | Casual |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| う-verb | 書く | 書いていないです | 書いていません | 書いていない |
| る-verb | 食べる | 食べていないです | 食べていません | 食べていない |
| する | する | していないです | していません | していない |

まだ usually comes before the verb phrase, often right after the topic: 田中さんはまだ来ていないです。
